The kitchen is well-equipped for easy meals and potable water, and other than groceries, you don’t really need to bring a whole lot with you.

It’s similar to a campground where there’s a loop of cabins nicely spread out from each other. At the Getaway House Shenandoah location, the closest cabin to us was over 200 feet away. I never felt like anyone was too close to us, and I also never felt unsafe. The tiny cabins are placed among nature in the woods and are used as a means to disconnect from the busyness of the city, technology, spend time in nature, and focus on relaxing. Because of the secluded nature of our outposts, cell phone service may be a little spottier than normal.
