A lot of us wouldn’t know who Devin Ratray is unless we were shown his picture next to the character of Buzz from Home Alone. The actor is now starring in a show called Mosaic on HBO, and he’s come a long way since the days in which he used to taunt and torment little Kevin McAllister. Ratray continued to act after the Home Alone movies but was still a very big unknown that some people managed to recognize from time to time. The truth however is that he was still given recognition because of his time as Buzz McAllister from Home Alone and not much else.
Of course, Ratray will live in classic Christmas movie infamy as Buzz, who tormented his little brother Kevin for years to come. The actor recently revealed to People that there was a possible "Home Alone" reunion in the works ... The McCallister kids and their cousins moved on to bigger roles, new careers, and even the Olympics. Pesci is 79 years old and his acting career has slowed down over the years. His most recent acting job was in 2019's The Irishman, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Joe Pesci (Harry Lime)
Harry and his partner Marv knew that the McCallisters were leaving their large home for the holidays, so they planned on breaking in and robbing them before they returned. Unbeknownst to Harry, Kevin was left home alone, which meant his plan had a massive speed bump. Nonetheless, through all of his bad moments, Harry had some of the funniest quotes in Home Alone.
That seems a little unfair seeing as it was hardly Buzz's fault that the McCallister parents were negligent enough to leave Kevin home alone and then to lose him in New York. But clearly, Kevin still holds a little resentment that his family left him to fend for himself with The Wet Bandits. This new movie in the Home Alone franchise firmly puts itself in the same universe as the 1990 original, with references to elements from the first movie and even a cameo from a cast member. The movie will also be airing on ABC cable channel Freeform 19 times through the month of December. Check out the full listings here, but one to note is at 1/12c on Christmas Eve. Senta Moses in "Home Alone" and picture at a 2009 movie screening of "Ten Years Later."
Devin Ratray: Buzz
Buzz only acts nicely when he gets something good out of Kevin's actions, like when they got presents in New York. When Buzz found out his room was trashed, he gets angry with Kevin again. Being a bully character, Buzz bullies Kevin both physically and verbally.Buzz is more of a verbal bully, mostly resorting to name calling.
In the original movie and the sequel, Buzz does nothing but terrorize his brother. Whenever Kevin retaliated, he got caught and was punished for sticking up for himself. Stern played the quirky sidekick to Harry in both the original and sequel ofHome Alone, best known for getting smashed in the face with an iron—ouch! Before that, he'd served as the narrator on the hit series The Wonder Years and has since appeared on other TV shows including Dilbert, Regular Joe, Manhattan,Getting On and Hulu's Shrill, playing AidyBryant's dad.

Like Fuller, Linnie didn't have a large role in Home Alone but she's the one who calls Kevin an idiot in French. Fuller was closest in age to Kevin, but Kevin acted like he was years older of Fuller due to him wetting the bed. Fuller doesn't have many lines in the film and is mainly seen chugging Pepsi and eating pizza, but Kevin still detested him.
Devin Ratray, 44, the actor who played Buzz in “Home Alone,” is charged with punching and strangling his girlfriend, allegedly warning her that she’d “die” after she gave away his autograph for free. He was Buzz in first two Home Alone movies, then returned to play him again in the 2021 film Home Sweet Home Alone, making him the only actor to have appeared in three Home Alone films. Home Sweet Home Alone is not the first piece of content to wonder at what Kevin's life might be like in the 21st century. In 2015, Culkin reprised the role for web series Dryvrs, which painted a much darker portrait of the trauma that Kevin was still living with. Though Culkin himself doesn't make an appearance, the film does give us some glimpses of the life of his character as he heads into his 40s via a few references to the original.
Since 2018, Kieran has portrayed Roman Roy on HBO's hit series Succession, earning nominations for best supporting actor at both the Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. Kieran is also a father of two, sharing son Wilder Wolf and daughter Kinsey Sioux with wife Jazz Charton. Macaulay's on- and off-screen younger brother appeared in a handful of films following Home Alone and its sequel — once again portraying an annoying younger brother in 1999's She's All That. Stern's character may not have succeeded in his plot to steal from the McCallisters, but the actor himself has managed to secure a spot in Hollywood over the nearly three decades since the film's release.
On Christmas morning, a truckload of gifts came to the Plaza Hotel as a reward for Kevin foiling Harry and Marv's attempt to rob Duncan's Toy Chest. Buzz realized that had it not been for Kevin getting on the wrong flight, they would not be in the suite with the Christmas tree and the gifts in the first place, and he told the rest of the family this. Much to Kevin's gladness, Buzz decided to let Kevin open the first present as they reconciled. Buzz was forgiven by Kevin for ruining his solo during the Christmas pageant, and they wished each other a Merry Christmas. Later, in Miami — after Kevin was separated from the family again — Kate received a call from the police, informing her that Kevin was in New York, and Buzz got ready to pack up and go there, along with the rest of the family.
Ratray was given this part by Soderbergh largely because the latter had followed the former’s career since Home Alone. Apparently Soderbergh saw something in Ratray that a lot of us didn’t bother seeing and decided that Devin was worth taking note of. If you look back on it now he was one of the reasons why Home Alone was so funny even if he wasn’t as prevalent as the main characters. He added another hint of realism to the film that might have otherwise been lacking since Kevin’s sisters and brothers tended want nothing to do with him. She's been in the spotlight since the '70s and starred in well-known projects like Beetlejuice, Six Feet Under, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Skylanders Academy. More recently, she won an Emmy for her acclaimed role as Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek.
But despite the film and its sequel's massive success, Culkin—and the rest of the Home Alone cast—all moved on from the franchise. When movie lovers think back to the '90s, Home Alone is certainly one of the most iconic movies of the time. The movie starred Macaulay Culkin in the leading role of Kevin, a young boy trying to keep his house safe from intruders while his parents were away on vacation.
